Here are a few things. 1) The fact that Moses merited to receive prophecy means that he was extremely righteous.
2) Moses demonstrated care and interest in his people (Exodus 2:11).
3) Out of his great humility (Numbers ch.12), Moses hesitated before accepting the role of leader (Exodus ch.3-4). But once he did accept that role, he fulfilled it fearlessly.
4) Moses had the patience and strength to speak to Pharaoh again and again and again, demanding that the Israelites be freed (Exodus ch.5-11).
5) Out of his great love for the Israelites, Moses was even ready to remonstrate with God (Exodus 5:22-23).
6) During the plagues that God brought upon Egypt, Moses followed God's instructions exactly.
