It says that if the group of all forces on an object is balanced, then the object

remains in constant, uniform motion. That means that its speed doesn't change,

and the direction it's heading doesn't change. "Uniform motion" applies just as well

to an object that's not moving at all ... its speed is zero, and it doesn't change.
