You need to send in a headshot to the casting director, but there is no one as casting director at this time for the movie. YOU HAVE TO PAY FOR YOUR FLIGHT TO LA IF YOU GET A CALL BACK AND BE THERE WITH ONE OR TWO DAY NOTICE.
no you do not just go to a casting call
The question is not where but to whom. You need to audition to the casting director for the movie and you have to be serious about the movie to audition. They wont pick you unless you have the criteria and usually a agent. I am not trying to discurouge you but you need to know some things. You will need 2 headshots and a resume. You need to be able to work in wantever country they are filming it in, if it is filmed in either Canada or the USA. You need to be able to get to where ever they hold the call backs within the day or two days they tell you they need you there. THEY WILL NOT PAY TO FLY YOU OUT OR STAY IN THE TOWN THEY ARE FILMING IN! So you need to have the money or please dont waste the casting directors time. The casting director has not been hired yet so there is currently no auditions or cast. Catherine Hardwicke is the director and do not send your auditions to her or the production companies because they will end up in the garbage.
You can become a movie director at any time / age etc. You can make a 5 minute "film" about you and your pet and become a "director", its just about being known and getting your films out there!
