I believe you are referring to the "curtain" wall of a castle, particularly the type known as concentric. In such castles there may be two or more rings of outer walls, each encircling the others - each was fitted with towers and gates and termed a curtain wall and the outer curtain would be the first line of defence.

In most cases the outer curtain would be the lowest wall, the inner curtain would be higher and the donjon (later called a keep) would be higher still, always giving the defenders an advantage if the outer defenses were captured by the enemy.

In modern architecture an outer curtain is a non-structural free-standing wall designed to keep out the weather.

Suggestions on window treatments for triangle windows in a geodesic dome.?

We have a dome. I have designed window quilts to cover the triangle windows. On the outer edge of the triangle I applied velcro to the window frame, and the opposite to the window curtain. I designed a tie-back that allows the curtain to roll toward the outer edge and button to hold it open. It works very well to insulate from cold in the winter.

Why the shower curtain tends to come near you when you open the shower on you while taking a bath?

Just static electricity. Spray it with warm water before you get in.Answer:The shower curtain comes in because of two factors. The shower water heats the air in the area inside the shower. Hot air is less dense than the cooler air in the rest of the room and so the denser air pushes the curtain in towards you.Secondly, if there is a gap at the bottom of the curtain, the warmer air rises to be replaced by the cooler air. The rising air exerts less lateral force on the inside surface of the curtain (Bernoulli's Principle) and the outer quieter air presses the curtain inwards.
