To 'paste' means to make an exact copy of previously 'copied' or 'cut' text, pictures, or any other form of data. Practically speaking, 'pasting' copied text into a work processor (such as Microsoft Word) will create an exact copy right where your cursor is at the time of pasting.
When you copy or cut a line of text on a computer it saves it temporarily in something known as the "clipboard". You can later "paste" or drop the text you copied from another site off the clipboard and onto whatever you are viewing.
'Paste' on any program means to put anything copied on the Windows clipboard onto the document. In this instance, you may be putting text from another website onto a word document for usage.
The Windows clipboard is basically a place where Windows stores information you have 'copied'. Highlighting some text and pressing CTRL+C or Right Click>Copy will put information onto the Windows clipboard for easy usage.
The paste function places text stored on the clip-board into the document, at the place where the cursor is. The three 'linked' functions are copy, cut & paste - they are used to manipulate blocks of text. Follow the relevant instructions below...
To move a piece of text from one part of a document to another (removing the text from its original place and putting it elsewhere in the document) -
1 - Highlight the text you want, by positioning the cursor at the start of the text, then hold the left mouse button and drag the cursor over all the text you want.
2 - Right-click on the highlighted text and select copy.
3 - Right-click (again) and select cut.
4 - Move the cursor where you want the text moving to, right-click and select paste.
This will move the text from its original position to the new place.
To copy text from one part of a document to another (leaving the original text in place) Follow the same steps - but omit step 3.
To 'paste' means to enter an exact copy of something that has been copied or cut onto the worksheet. This could be numbers, text, pictures and even formatting. Whatever you paste will be put into the new location, leaving you with a copy of the original.
Hi this is YoungBlood144 and cut means to remove it from the page and paste means to put something on that page thank you
First you copy something (edit-copy) then you can put it in word by not having to type it over again (edit-paste)
After copying something, instead of doing a normal paste, you can paste it in different formats or do a paste link to connect one document to another.

It allows you to cut or copy things and store them in memory and paste them back later. It enables you to cut or copy multiple items, not just one like a normal cut or copy does.
Cut and Copy are two different functions of Word. Cut will take the Highlighted text from your word document and delete it. When you paste it will move the deleted text to where ever you paste. Copy just dupilcates the highlighted text where ever you paste.
