Assuming you mean a credit card - there should be an 'emergency' number somewhere on your statement. The sooner you report it - the less liable you will be if someone uses the card fraudulently.
It simply means that details of the transaction may be retained by the card company and/or retailer. It's common if the card is a new one - to establish spending patterns and possible fraudulent use.
A means excellent on a report card. B means good. C means average. D means below average. F means failure.
"Advanced" on a report card means "promoted to the next higher grade."

If you mean you want to prevent the card being used by someone else - simply report the loss to the card company ! They will block the card - meaning if someone presents it for payment, it will be rejected (and retained by the store).
