What does a parallel circuit look like?

It will be parallel :D

What are the advantages and disadvantages of a gas circuit breaker?

The advantages of a circuit breaker are: they are smaller in size than fuses better versions may have electronic trips so they can adjust trip curve to suite circuit design easier for end user to reset (no touching live parts) no waiting to reset (as with fuses - spare must be found) no cost associated with resetting unlike cost of replacement fuses easier when ground fault protection is needed The disadvantages of a circuit breaker are: they are more expensive than fused switches when a circuit breaker trips, you lose all power (with fuses you only lose that phase) harder to coordinate fault selectivity harder and more costly to obtain high short circuit interrupting capacities

Two black wires to a single fuse or breaker lug is called?

This condition is commonly known as a "Double Tap", and is only permitted if the breaker specifically allows it. Some Square D breakers and possibly other manufacturers allow terminating two wires under the screw, and if the breaker allows it, it will be identified as such on the label. If your specific breakers do not allow two wires terminating under one screw, you will need to install another appropriately sized breaker for that circuit, assuming your panel has the space available for the additional breaker. As always, if you are in doubt about what to do, the best advice is to call a licensed electrician. Before you do any work yourself on electrical circuits, equipment or appliances, always use a test meter to ensure the circuit is, in fact, de-energized. IF YOU ARE NOT ALREADY SURE YOU CAN DO THIS JOB SAFELY AND COMPETENTLY REFER THIS WORK TO QUALIFIED PROFESSIONALS.

How does the location of the circuit compare to the current at other places in the circuit in a simple circuit?

Reading this question, one kind of has to guess what's being asked. Here's a statementthat may or may not be helpful to the questioner:A series circuit is one in which there's never a point where the current has to decidewhich path to take. There's never a point where the current can split, and there's onlyone possible route all the way through the circuit. In a series circuit, the magnitude of the current is the same at every point.

What is transfomer main protection?

transformer protection can b done by- 1)using buccholtz relays - this relay basically is connectd in the pipe between d main transformer oil tank and the conservator tank.whenever slight overloadin results d trans4mer oil vapourises thus d oil in d main tank moves 2wrds d conservator dus cozin the float to drip lower n the alarm 2 switch on . in case of faults d level of oil decreases in d oil tank n dus the float causes d circuit 2 trip 2 prevent damag 2 d trans4mer . 2)differential protection -if the differenc between d primary n scndry current increases beyond a certain limit d trans4mer circuit is disconnectd 4rm d circuit

Will a square d circuit breaker fit in Allen bradley panel?

No, the Square D designed breaker can only be installed in a Square D manufactured panel.

Does square D make a circuit breaker with a 15 amp and 20 amp breaker in the same breaker?

No tandem breakers are of the same value.

Whatcould cause a sq d arc breaker to trip when aregular breaker doesn't?

The neutral is in contact with the ground at some point of the circuit.

What circuit breakers will interchange with a Square D panel?

Only a Square D designed breaker can be installed in a Square D manufactured panel.

Where can Square D circuit breakers be purchased?

Square D circuit breakers can be purchased from various homeware and DIY stores such as Home Depot or Lowes. Websites that specialise in circuit breakers such as Circuit Breaker Service or All Breakers do sell them as well.

What is a circuit breaker in tax preparation?

what do you mean? a circuit breaker is a device usually used in domestic fuseboxes and appliances, that when a circuit current (amount of amps) is higher than the current set to the breaker as the trip current, the breaker will trip, preventing the wire from overheating and possibly shorting out (see internet) which might cause bigger problems. the breaker may also trip if a short occurs. but tax preparation... i'm afraid i am not even familliar with the term : / i have a feeling though that in "tax preparation" it might be a metaphorical term. i hope the first part helps though! if you have any more questions... just ask! :D

How many miliamperes are produced when 4 D cells are in series circuit?

The current in the circuit is(6,000)/(the resistance connected between the terminals of the D cells, in ohms)milliamperes

What is a 30 amp circuit breaker used for?

A 30 amp circuit breaker is needed unless the load is a motor circuit, then it has to be sized to 250 percent of the motors full load amps. For 30A circuit is needed breaker 30*1.25=37.5 --> 40A. If load is lamp or heater, then use breaker of group A or B. If load is motor, then use breaker of groupC or D (very hard start) or special safe breaker for motor - with variable amp setpoint. See related link also. By code you are only allowed 80% of the rating of a breaker. So 30x80%=24amps. 24 amps is the MAX allowed on a 30 amp breaker. You would need a 40amp breaker for a 30 amp circuit. 40x80%=32. So you would want a double pole 40amp breaker.

How do you identify the breaker for a currently dead circuit?

If the breaker is a Sq "D" there will be a red flag in the clear window on the face of the breaker. For all breakers including Sq "D", when in the trip fault position the handle will be between the full on and full off position. To reset the breaker move the handle over to the full off position. You should feel and hear a click. This is the breaker being reset. Then move the breaker handle over to the full on position. If the breaker trips instantaneously when moved to the on position do not reset it. Time to do some trouble shooting. Find out what is on that circuit and if any devices are plugged into it. Remove any plugged in devices from the circuit and try to reset again. If it still trips, leave the circuit off, it is time to call in an electrician. Wires that are short circuiting in the wall or in receptacle boxes can become dangerous very quickly if left energized.

What is the main difference a series circuit and a parallel circuit?

The series circuit has one wire, while the parallel circuit has two wires. And if you connect the extra wire its dim because your taking away electrons and energy flowing through the main circuit -Hope this helped:D The difference is that series circuit has one path but parallel has more than one path. -hope this helped!:D ~Bunnii Boo

What circuit breakers will interchange with ITE EQ-T?

the standard or the square D will fit ,you just have to remove 4 little bits plastic and two little bits of metal the rest of the houseing and the rating is very close yes you can also put a torch to the main breaker and burn your whole house down. Some breaker are interchangeable with others, but you should NEVER modify the breaker to fit! Breakers are UL listed to their panels when you install a "unclassified" breaker your UL listing for that breaker and the whole panel is now void.
