An antonym for "inevitable" is "avoidable." While "inevitable" refers to something that is certain to happen, "avoidable" indicates that an event or outcome can be prevented or sidestepped. Other synonyms might include "preventable" or "uncertain."
No. If the practice of slavery was in fact evil, then Lincoln had to hold to his view that slavery should not be expanded into the territories. Confederates were defending an institution which absolutely contradicted Jefferson's statement in the Declaration of Indepence that "all men are created equal." Southerners sidestepped this contradiction by claiming that the war was "about states' rights." But without slavery there would have been no Civil War.
Often yes they do. Usually the demands of life and immediate pressures of running a household force young married couples in to " lock-in" jobs. What i mean by this is, jobs that pay the bills and may even be reliable, but lock you in to one career path or skill set. Often they are minimum wage or low pay but offer as many hours as you like. They seem secure and fitting at the time. When your needs grow as your family grows, your income no longer sustains you. You have become " locked-in". You do not HAVE THE SKILLS OR EDUCATION REQUIRED TO SECURE A BETTER POSITION. This does not mean you need university courses, nor does it mean you cannot get married young. However, it does mean be smart and plan. Take some college courses to increase your skill and value. Can you use those skills to land a career with a growing job path? If not, perhaps could you work for yourself at something. Many have sidestepped the education barriers by becoming a entrepreneur. Point is when you are young you have choices!. Make them!. If you do not, they will be made FOR YOU later.
