It actually used to be a question mark. You see, when Sucker Punch was developing what has come to be "Sly Cooper and the Thevious Racoonus", they had the digital character model hold a weapon, and at that time, they weren't sure what the weapon would be, so the had the "prototype weapon" be a digital "stick" with a question mark at the end. Someone figured it seemed like a hooked cane, and thought it would be a good idea. Thus, spawning the fact that Sly Cooper uses a cane instead of a sword or a gun. Although this is strange, at least it is.....creative.
