∙ 10y agoWhen a person wants something they cannot have, and they pretend they did not want it. It came from a fable of a fox that wanted to eat a bunch of grapes that it could not reach. After trying and failing several times to reach the grapes, the fox gave up, complaining "They were probably sour, anyway."
