The spiritual nature of someone or something relates to the core inner essence, unadorned by desire or other illusions of the false ego, the ego that wants rather than simply is. It can be (and is) discussed in every language using many different words, and while nuance is often lost in translation, the core concepts tend to deal with very organic baseline behavioral patterns of the thing discussed, including humans and humanity. It's often used as a term to describe a person, people, or activity that's predominantly spiritual in focus of intent. ex: "The Amish are of a spiritual nature". "The meditation was of a(etc)".
The nature of spirituality is the, best put, as:
...the "higher self's (super-conscious, or soul) awareness, understanding, development, knowledge, synthesis with the collective unconscious (all thoughts, ideas, memories, etc., that exist in the ethereal world (think of it as the "mental world", same as where your dreams take place) and personal experience throughout lifetimes.
The nature of spirituality transcends religion; it encompasses all conscious and sub/super-conscious awareness, which determines how your physical mind interprets and perceives the world, events, experiences, thoughts, beliefs, ethics, morality (which is unique for each individual - meaning one can choose to follow current societies established moral guidelines, or they can follow their own developed guidelines (this, I identify as higher than a culture of society's morals, which serve to benefit the masses, not the individual, and therefore are compromised based on what the "masses are led and taught to believe is wrong or right.)
The nature of spirituality best serves the individual's goal and purpose in life, because it is not limited to what we are taught, or have learned, or are simply conscious of; if one chooses to follow their spiritual intuitions, one will find they are more consciously aware (in general) and tend to mature, at the physical, mental and soul level much more easily than those who rely on believing only what they are able to perceive consciously.
I know this is a rather complicated answer, so in summary, the nature of spirituality is the ability to perceive information at a higher level than purely what we can obtain through our physical senses.
Hope that helps!
