Stade is a German town in Lower Saxony, Germany and formerly a member of the Hanseatic League. Its name has evolved from Stethu, which was first documented in 994 AD in the Annales, chronica et historiae aevi Saxonici by Thietmar von Merseburg, although there was a settlement there since 1000BC.
The origin and meaning of the name Stethu is no longer known/apparent.
"Je vais aller au stade" would mean "I am going to go to the stadium". It translates to "to the stadium" or "at the stadium"
