Star has got nothing to do with the teachings of Islam. It has just been, over the period of time, associated with Islam. To quote another example, green color has also been associated with Islam specially in the Sub-continent but infact it is just an association without any religious significance

∙ 15y agoNothing. It is a man-made symbol (the star and crescent) that has nothing really to do with Islam. God and His Messenger Muhammad did not order us to use this stupid symbol. The real symbol of Islam is what is written on the flag of Saudi Arabia - but without the sword. It says: There is no god but the One God, Muhammad is the Messenger of God.
