potentia venti
Wind power has been used for thousands of years, dating back to ancient civilizations that used windmills for grinding grain and pumping water. Modern wind power, in the form of large-scale wind turbines for electricity generation, has been around since the late 19th century.
Aloha: Say: makani ikaika [ma-ka-nee ee-k~I (I with a k in front) - ka].
Wind provides energy by moving the blades of wind turbines, which in turn spin a generator to produce electricity. The kinetic energy of the wind is converted into mechanical power, which is then transformed into electrical power. The energy generated can be used to power homes, businesses, and even entire communities.
i'd say at least 2 feet
Talk to Manny Vargas at Novac and say everything on his conversation tree. After that Boone will talk to you about Bittersprings.
To say that it is needed is perhaps wrong but to say that it is desirable as a form of energy generation in correct. The main reason cited is that is is a sustainable source of energy (i.e. there will always be wind and the production of energy from wind turbines has no detrimental impact on the environment (other of course you dislike the aesthetic impact) as opposed to the burning of fossil fuels or the risk of readio-active contamination from nuclear power plants.
I am a "friend of the family" that owns Boone Hall and I can say categorically it was NOT used in Gone with the Wind. Boone Hall does bear a remarkable resemblance to 12 Oaks, and that is because photographers were sent out to take pictures of various Plantations and Boone Hall was one of those photographed. The person who managed tours there at Boone Hall for many years had a book about GWTW that showed the matte photo used in the scene for the entry to 12 Oaks and you can see the similarity, but no live movie footage was taken at Boone Hall or used in GWTW. There have been movies , TV shows, and commercials filmed at Boone Hall, most notable being "North and South" (Patrick Swayzee), "Queen" (the sequel to Roots) ( Jamine Guy, Halle Berry) and most recently "The Notebook" Fans of the TV Show "Army Wives" might find it interesting to know an "Afghan village set" was built on the Polo Field at Boone Hall. Ryan Seacrest filmed an opening sequence for "American Idol" on the Avenue at Boone Hall when AI was in Charleston to audition contestants.
Both wind and solar power are renewable sources of energy that can generate electricity without producing harmful emissions. While wind power harnesses the kinetic energy of moving air using turbines, solar power converts sunlight into electricity using photovoltaic cells. Both technologies are vital in transitioning towards a more sustainable energy future.
gwynt (wind; breath) to wind (as a clock) is dirwyn or troi.
very simple: der Wind
makani...ka makani is the wind
