For males it helps the body grow hair, lots of facial hair. Testosterone also helps create/grow the male reproductive system. It also acts as an adrenaline at times and can cause an increase in anger when one becomes agitated. For example left handed people are more prone to getting very agitated and in part because of the excess levels of testosterone they receive in the womb. Testosterone also creates the deep voice, and doesn't let breast grow to a 3-dimmensional form to say. Testosterone also grows or gains more power and power endurance in males, hence the bigger muscle mass when compared to some women.
