The Bible inspires, guides, motivates, comforts, instructs, examines, questions, prioritizes, and clarifies our lives. However, you can only get out of it what you put in.

Answer:

The Bible reveals the Creator and His Eternal plan to the latter day generations of man against the coming Judgment at the "Last Great Day" of that plan.

It's information of a divine nature, both physical and spiritual, that's: "...profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: that the man of God may be [or become] perfect, throughly [thoroughly] furnished unto all good works." (II Tim.3:16-17)
