If by 'division' you are asking about the 41,000 Christian denominations and organizations around the world today (according to the Center for the Study of Global Christianity or CSGC), then it is simply mind-boggling. Considering that each teaches its own version of the truth leads one to ask 'what is truth?' It isn't logical to believe all of these could be correct. And The Bible does not speak of these divisions except to warn of Satan deceiving the whole world (even via religious people - see Matthew 7:15; 15:9; 24:4-5 into these divisions to hide God's truths (2 Corinthians 11:13-15; Revelation 12:9). This will apparently continue to the end of the reign of man as Matthew also pictures their shock and despair in chapter 7:22-23. These various divisions, each thinking they have the true teachings of Christ find out they were all wrong and following the teachings of men and not the true biblical teachings.
Such is the way of mankind. On the other hand, the Bible tells us that Jesus came to establish His Church which the gates of hell could not destroy (Matthew 16:18). It is called about a dozen times 'the Church of God' (see Acts 20:28; 1 Corinthians 1:2, 10:32, 11:16, 11:22 and 15:9 for the clear read). Jesus referred to those in His Church as the 'little flock' (see Luke 12:32) the home of the firstfruits of God (1 Corinthians 15:23; James 1:18 and Revelation 14:4).
Lastly, the Bible teaches that no one can find the truth unless the Father draws them to His Son (John 6:44;65). But it also tells us that each will have their individual calling at the time chosen by the Father to maximize their opportunity for eternal salvation - some in their lifetimes, some during the Millennian Rule and the majority during the Judgment process - at the Great White Throne Judgment.
The Bible does say about people going to Church (Temples). Read Matthew Chapter 6.
It doesn't say that. It cannot. The word - biblical - does not appear in the Bible.
You could say that, but at Church we just learn about the Bible and how to honor him.
The bible does not say that. In fact the bible (Hebrews 10:24-25) urges us to attend church. Of course the church we should attend should be a Christ believing, Christ teaching church of which the bible approves. Beware there are bad churches.
1. Church rules are not based on the bible, BELIEFS are but not rules 2. Dogs are not allowed in church because they'd cause a ruckus
nothing common sense
There is nothing in the Bible that says that church leaders can decide where members of the congregation can live.
It depends on which church. But unfortunately, I'd have to say overall, no.
Roman Catholic AnswerThere is only a Bible, the Bible used by the Catholic Church is the entire New Testament and the entire Old Testament. The only thing that makes it a "Catholic" Bible is the guarantee in the front of it that it conforms to the Bible as accepted by the Church since the fourth century. And, no, nowhere in the Bible does it say anything about sprinkling for baptism.
I do not remember any place in the bible where it says to carry your bible to church. This is because when the scriptures were written, there was no bible per-say. The bible as we know it, was not put together until much later. That being said, it is always good to bring your bible to church, to follow the individual giving the sermon, and to check out the accuracy of the teaching.
The Catholic Church interprets the Bible to say that it was started with St. Peter, who was the first Pope.
Christ's Church accepts it as the authoritative word of God. But it may be beneficial for all who read it.
