The Bible tells us that we all are sinners regardless of what type of sin we commit. Though our system of justice is designed to deal with those who break the law, we are to abide by this teaching from Jesus:
Luke 6:37New King James Version (NKJV)
Do Not Judge37 "Judge not, and you shall not be judged. Condemn not, and you shall not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven.
In the Gospel of Luke a bit further down in chapter 12 verse 10 (and in the other synoptic Gospels), it tells us all sins against 'the Son of Man' (Jesus) are forgivable but sinning willfully against the Holy Spirit (Spirit of God) is unpardonable.
This does not give us a free ticket to sin. The Bible defines sin as 'lawlessness.' (see 1 John:4-5. We are to repent of our sinful nature (see Acts 2:38-41) and follow Christ, our perfect example.
