Our 'heart' ( the seat of motivation) is where everything we allow ourselves to experience, ends up. It will often, in the end, motivate us to act on what we've lived. It's this quality that encourages marketing companies to spend millions on ads that pour desires into our eyes, ears and mind, that end up motivating US to buy, buy, buy. (Ephesians 6:13-18) tells us to be busy with spiritual things, So, to care for ourselves would mean to be careful what we PUT into our mind, heart and body, because we are God's creation.(Psalm 139:14)
