It is the Fleur de lis symbolic in France which means Lilly flower.

Well, while that is true this particular symbol that the House Of Dereon uses is a upside down Fluer de lis which is basically the same as a upside down crucifix. Here is why.

In religion the three petals of the heraldic design reflect a widespread association with the Holy Trinity "The Father, The Son, & The Holy Spirit", with the band on the bottom symbolizing Mary.
