You'll have to furnish a manufacturer and model number before the serial number means anything.
Is there a letter before or after as part of the serial number?
is there a capitol 'C' before of after serial number ????
is the "P" part of the serial number? Haven't seen that before.
Serial numbers were not required before 1968
If you have a letter or number and letter before your serial number please include this to get the correct year of production. If you have no letter of combination of letter and number before your serial number you have a standard sixteen gauge.
The serial number is found on the under side of the gun before the forearm.
If you have a common shotgun made before 1968, there probably is no serial number to look up. If the serial number is not on the receiver some where; i.e., water table, side, bottom, somewhere; then it doesn't have one & that is as far as you can take the serial number of a shotgun made before 1968.
The serial number is on the passenger side of the receiver, just rear of the barrel. If there is no serial number your cooey was manufactured before 1968, when no s.n. was required.
On what?? Many firearms before 1968 did not have serial #'s.
If the serial # was 52071F , it would have been mfg'd in 1958. is the 'F' before or after serial number????
