The WSBA will more likely than not dismiss your grievance. The WSBA receives around 3000 grievances per year. And nearly all are dismissed before the WSBA investigates your complaint or requires any response from the lawyer. You must then 'appeal' the dismissal. In which case another WSBA member will most likely sustain the first WSBA members dismissal. To make a long story short the WSBA will more likely than not, dismiss your grievance without an investigation and without allowing you to discuss your complaint with the WSBA [Your rights are described in ELC 5.1] After the WSBA has closed the case, you can appeal to the WA State Supreme Court, under their exclusive jurisdiction codified in RCW 2.48 and 'charge the WSBA in failing to carryout their 'public duty function.' The WA State Supreme Court ''may'' hear your case or more likely than not, ""not"" hear your case.
