What does the Wizard wear in 'The Wizard of Oz'?

A suit is what the Wizard wears in "The Wizard of Oz."

Specifically, the Wizard wears a suit when he is on his own or when he is being himself. He throws together a white shirt with a tie, jacket, slacks and vest in both the book and the film and sometimes additionally with a light-colored duster in the book. But that tends not to be the way in which visitors to the Emerald Palace see him. Instead, the Wizard hides behind a number of disguises projected from behind a screen in the book and a disembodied voice projected from behind a curtain in the beloved 1939 movie classic.
