International
EDIT: It doesn't specifically mean anything, because it's more of a tag then it is a title.
Kind of like when your playing an online game and there's clans with obscene names and their acronym is something like X@T?
It's more of a means of easily identifying the specific zlocation in the aviation industry. But in the defence of the original answer, LAX is Los Angeles International (Airport), so the X could be inferred at International, much in the same way that many other airports have similar names.
Nothing. Airport code is 3 characters. See www.fly.faa.gov
== == It is not nessicerly an airport but is has the longest runway. Edwards Air Force Bace in California. Besides the AFB above, on the default game, the largest is Atlanta. With addons and scenery the largest is Los Angeles LAX.
The letters "LAX" is the IATA identifier code for Los Angeles International Airport. This code is used to identify the airport in radio communications and in navigation equipment & charts. When the airport was founded in 1928, it was given the simple 2-letter identifier "LA" for Los Angeles, however in the late 1940's these identifier codes were standardized across the US as 3-letter codes. The "X" was added simply because something had to be added, and doesn't stand for anything.
Every airport today has a unique three-letter identifier to streamline the process of tracking the millions of items of airport data transmitted daily, including flight plans and weather reports. Before the 1930s, existing airports used a two-letter abbreviation based on the weather station at the airports. So, at that time, LA served as the designation for Los Angeles International Airport. But, with the rapid growth in the aviation industry, the designations expanded to three letters, and LA became LAX. The letter X does not otherwise have any specific meaning in this identifier.
It started as "LA," then when IATA codes required 3 letters they added an X.
That's going to depend on where in California, and where in Houston.-- Smith River, California to Houston Hobby Airport . . .2,217 miles = 2217 x 3.75/30 = $277.13-- Sacramento, California to Minute Maid Park . . .1,878 miles = 1878 x 3.75/30 = $234.75-- La Mesa, California to Houston Intercontinental Airport . . .1,447 miles = 1447 x 3.75/30 = $180.88
