By Canadian law, no more than 9.09 percent of a Canadian label may include whiskey from other countries. It must be blended from cereal grains, and it has to age in wood at least three years.
In Canada and the United States Chivas blended whiskey can be purchased in a large quantity from any licensed retailer that offers the product for sale. One must be of legal age to purchase to Chivas.
