A few thoughts:
The Bible tells us that if we suffer (because of doing RIGHT, and living a Christian life to please God), that's GOOD. On the other hand, if we suffer for doing bad, for being a murderer, thief (or other criminal behavior) we deserve the discipline we get.(1 Peter 4:14-16) So, we are told NOT to steal (Ephesians 4:28), but rather work hard to help others.
In the nation of Israel, criminal activity was discouraged in many ways, one of which was the punishment...which was not generally imprisonment, but rather compensation (Exodus 22:1-6). The 'thief' must 'pay back' what they stole PLUS extra. On the other hand, worshiping false gods or participating in occult practices was punishable by death(Leviticus 20:2, 27)
For an interesting Biblical essay on thieves, see the first chapter of Proverbs.
the name of the two thieves are GESTAS and DISMAS
There is nowhere in any translation of the bible where you will read about Jesus being hanged with thieves. However, you can read about Jesus being crucified with two robbers (thieves) in Matthew 27: 38.
See Matthew 27: 38 - "Two robbers were crucified with him, one on his right and one on his left".
It should be "a gang of thieves" or "a group of thieves" instead of "a crowd of thieves".
the bible do not mention their names
yesh. but he says it as "Thieves! Fire! Murder!"
During the daylight hours of the Passover (days counted from sunset to sunset)on Tuesday, April 25, 31 AD, two thieves were also cruxified with Christ from 6:00 AM to His death at 3:00 PM.
Jesus was crucified with two thieves at Calvary, or Golgotha. Matthew's Gospel (27:44) and Mark's Gospel (15:32) both say that the two thieves crucified with him, one on each side, reviled him. However, Luke's Gospel (23:42-43) says that one of the two thieves reviled him, but the other said to Jesus, "Lord remember me when you come into your kingdom," and Jesus said unto him, "Verily I say unto thee today shalt thou be with me in paradise."
yes it say in the bible to be always charitable in the bible always read your bible and prayers
Not that I'm aware of. But there is a place in the Bible that says, You are a lier if you say you have not sinned.
No, the Bible does not say this.
It does not say this in the bible.
