Revelation chapter 20 indicates you are judged according to your works (not your wealth). Being wealthy by its self is not a sin, as Abraham was very wealthy, however viewing the wealth as the center of your faith (placing it before our Father) is a sin.
The eye of the needle was a security gate, common with cities of that day, which required the owner of a camel to completely unpack the camel and have the camel crawl through a small opening in order to enter the city after the main gates were closed. Getting the camel to crawl through that narrow gate (eye of the needle) was a very difficult task.
