From eating. The cheetah is an apex or top level predator. There are no known predators for adult cheetahs however they can be killed by lions rarely. Cheetah's usually prey on smaller herbivores like Gazelles, Impala and Springbok. They don't have the size or strength to hunt down larger prey like zebra or wildebeest.

cheetahs would be around about 3rd order consumers, they consume other organisms, using this energy. when the cheetah dies, it decomposes and the energy is returned to the environment, thus maintaining energy gain and loss in an ecosystem.
Cheetahs can sprint up to 70 miles per hour but only for a short distance. If they need to travel any distance, they are much slower to conserve energy.
yes they come from the same ancestor
cheetahs are carnivores and therefore do not eat plants. But cats will chew on grass to help their digestive system
Cheetahs have little endurance and can only run short distances at top speed, about 500 meters. They quickly use up their energy reserves and overheat.
Kinetic energy is the energy tied up in a moving object. Something that's stationary has no kinetic energy. And Cheetahs, as all cats, spend a lot of time resting.
They need about 6 pounds of meat a day to keep their energy up.
The prey for a cheetah provides energy. Just like for humans, cheetahs take oxygen from the air and give back carbon dioxide to plants; we take in water from both water sources and a little from prey (foods); and humans and cheetahs get energy from the foods we eat.

The energy can come from just about any source of AVAILABLE energy.
