Blake was working at Jonathon Cape Publishing and Dahl moved over from where ever he had previously been at. Due to Dahl writing only children novels, the heads of the company proposed to him that he write a picture book instead (1970's - The Enormous Crocodile). There meeting was professional and from there it spread onwards.
