The letter "k" is not used by Browning in serial numbers.
K is short for kilo, which means thousand, 5K is 5000.

1000 to 5000. If it is in good condition, fires well, doesn't jam, has been taken care of, no hard wear and tear, close to 5 k. Has to be in great condition for that.
