It means you have more power over your sims life than 1 or 2
In the top right corner you'll see wishes and achievements for your sim, right? What you do is you accept the wish and you need to complete that wish or all of the wishes before midnight or you wont get the karma power. Though, after midnight. It refills to 100 any way.
Throw parties, get married, have kids, woohoo, get promoted, fish, choose your sim's traits, choose a life goal, and use karma powers to punish or reward your sims. You can also do more cool stuff with the extension packs (according to my friends- I don't have enough money for any of the extensions yet) P.S. This game is TOTALLY ADDICTING!
= Hinduism believes in karma but karma does not mean rebirth. =
Not sure which Sims you mean, do you mean the original game, Sims 1? You need the first game The Sims installed and then you can install expansion packs. It is recommended by Maxis that you install The Sims first (expansions wont work anyway without it) and Makin Magic last.
Karma applies to all human beings who are born on earth. We create Karma; we live and die as per our Karma and then we are reborn. Everything that is born, animals, insects, even plants, they are Bhoktas, they are experiencers of past Karma. But only human beings create new Karma. Therefore, Karma applies to human beings in terms of creating Karma, but it applies to all living creatures in terms of redemption. The only way to escape Karma is through the realization that we are not the body that is suffering the Karma, not even the mind and ego that is creating the Karma, we are the Divine Soul. Then we are liberated from all Karma and we are free from the cycle of death and rebirth.
When all of your Sims in the household that you are playing have die the game will come up with a message that says something like "I'm sorry but all of the Sims in your household have died but that doesn't mean that you still can't use this house, you can still move in new Sims to this household"
Karma refers to cause and effect. We are all, in a sense, the result of karma, and beings do not achieve it, they accumulate it based on their actions.
Its like designing a "clique" for your sims. They can go to all kinds of places together to do all kinds of different things.
