MSG is the food additive (flavoring) monosodium glutamate, marketed under the brand names Ajinomoto, Vetsin, or Accent. The chemical is a sodium salt of the amino acid glutamic acid, and is marketed as a "flavor enhancer". It was commonly added to packaged retail foods until concerns about possible side effects in the 1990's. These were later found to be less significant, but many foods are still labeled as having "no MSG" (they may, however, still contain glutamates).

MSG stands for Monosoudium Glutamate. Chinese restaurants used to use them very often in the food but they don't use it much anymore. Some people try to avoid it because they are very sensitive to it. It is made up of mostly cane sugar.
It is a conspiracy theorists' fear mongering hype.
An actual allergy to MSG is no more common than most Allergies, and is probably the reaction they're referring to (hives, systemic shock, etc; same as eg relatively very common peanut allergy.) The conspiracy theorists like to claim that everyone has the same reaction as people who are allergic, just to a lesser degree.
Iirc this is the fallacy of degrees: Claiming if something happens occasionally to some people, it happens to a lesser degree to everyone. This idea is occasionally true, giving the fear mongers a lever, (eg "This guy is allergic to almost everything, you and I are allergic to some things, most people are allergic to one or two things like Poison Ivy, so everybody is allergic to some degree to something. It's the same with <insert conspiracy here>")
(The slippery slope fallacy also fits that example and many conspiracy theories.)
