the muscular system helps move your bones that are in the skeletal system.

It also helps us move things around and helps make our lives easier. Without muscle we practically would be able to move!

Muscles are responsible for all of our movements and for stability of the body. The bones are the framework for the muscles. If the muscles are in a normal state ( normal tonicity) the body will move freely. If the muscles are hypertonic

( overworked, tense, 'tight') the movement is limited, blood flow in the body is compromised (ischemia), and discomfort to pain results. Muscles do static, stabilizing work, as in holding your head in one position over the computer and dynamic work as in lifting or pushing the computer chair back and forth. Static work requires more muscle energy. Both efforts can result in overuse and chronic pain.

It keeps it from being an immobile skeleton. Your heart is a muscle, and since it's pretty vital, I'd say it's helpful.
