Jesus took our sins voluntarily upon his sinless self that we would be forgiven of our sins. He took our death and our punishment for us when he was crucified. He loves us more than caring about himself. Love him back. Come to God, be saved if you choose. Accept Christ into your heart as savior and repent of your sins. Love God, and love your neighbor as yourself. Remember Jesus loves us more than he loved himself, he gave his very life for us. He was resurrected, now we can be saved from eternal death-to eternal life.

In a Biblical worldview, the nail has little significance other than to hold the wrist of the perpetrator of Roman law to the cross. Later in The Bible, the nails led to scars and holes in Christ's hands and feet which he presented to "doubting" Thomas in order to prove that he was the risen Messiah.

Answer/

The nail in relation to the cross is that as symbolically the crossbeam holds the nature of man and the upright represents the tree of life through the crucifixion of the Son of God, therewith the nail holding the crossbeam to the upright - is the conversion and repentance of man, both on the left, and on the right. Ref: The Acts of Peter.

Also: The nail has been found among ancient Christian relics such as in Christian ossuaries, accentuating its importance within the doctrinal beliefs of early Christianity.
