Nisan is the 7th month in the Hebrew calender and the first month in the Torah.

According to 'Chazal in the 21st day of Nisan Moses led the Israelites out of ancient Egypt by crossing the red sea (1092 BCE). Because of that in Nisan the Jewish people are celebrating passover in that month.

Becasue the transliteration from Hebrew letters to Roman (English) letters is not one to one, the transliteration "nishma" could be two different Hebrew words with different Hebrew spellings

nishma (נשמע) (the letters nun-shin-mem-ayin) can mean either "it is heard" or "we will hear"

nishmah or neshamah (נשימה) (the letters nun-shin-mem-heh) can mean"breath" and is the word used in Genesis for when G-d breathed life into Adam. It can also be translated as "soul" but there are other words in Hebrew that also mean that in other contexts.
