the graph would look like a normal heating curve however at 0 degrees celsius and 100 degrees celcius, there would be a flat line.

How do water molecules in the solid phase compare with water molecules in the gaseous phase?

Physical or chemical humidifier putting moisture into the air?

The moisture is just water vapor, so you are getting a phase change from liquid to gas. Phase changes are physical changes. For a vaporizer to produce a chemical change it would have to do something drastic like convert the water in to H2 and O2.

Is formation of dew and rain a physical change?

Formation of dew and rain is not a chemical change, but a physical change. Often a change involving state of matter like in this case condensation (or like evaporation, melting, freezing, sublimation, or deposition) shows a physical change and not a chemical change.

Why is a phase change like solid to liquid a physical change?

Melting, the phase change from a solid to a liquid, is considered a physical change rather than a chemical change because when the phase change takes place, the substance that was melted does not change its chemical composition, and the process could be reversed to get the original condition of the substance by freezing (liquid-solid).

What phase changes from solid to a liquid?

That is a physical change. Like ice melting

What is the change of a phase from a vapor to a liquid called?

Condensation. Which is also like a dew.

What happens when a substance changes from one state of matter to another?

It undergoes a phase change, such as when a solid (like frozen CO2) sublimates directly to a gas, or when water freezes to ice.

What is congruent in phase transformation?

donot change in composition, allotropic like melting, solidification

What appearance does a graph line have if the dependent variable does not change with time?

It would be a straight horizontal line like this ______________________ ;)

Does a steep curve on a line graph indicate rapid or a slow rate of change?

A rapid rate of change (which looks like this, U). A slow rate of change would have a slowly declining line like this (\ \ \ )

What is a line graph and bar graph?

A line graph is shaped like a triangle and a bar graph is exactly like column but bar graph is other way around
