There is a green "POWER" light that comes on this 2004 Chevy Tracker. The light simi circular in the lower right corner of dash. There is no mention of any kind of power light in the owners mannual.
The local chevy service dept. has no idea??

It is not a "warning" light but an indicator that you have pressed the button near the shifter to put the tranny into tow mode.
HI, The "Power" light means that the power mode switch and been presed to have more power available, to turn the light off just press the switch to return it to "Normal". Steve H.
it means the internal rubberband needs to be rewound. It means you have accidently hit the power button by the gear shift. Simply switch back to normal (N) and the light will go out.

Yes it does. I have a 96 geo tracker and it does have power steering.
A warning on the dic showing an engine power reduce, indicates that there is an electrical problem with the Chevy Malibu. These issues could be worn or damaged sensors, wiring issues, a weak battery, engine overheating or stored codes that could be causing the warning.
