Absorb nutrients.
Absorb nutrients.
After the food is processed in the stomach of a frog, the partially digested food moves into the small intestine for further digestion and absorption of nutrients.
Pancreatic juice in a frog travels from the pancreas through a duct that empties into the duodenum of the small intestine. When the frog eats, the presence of food in the duodenum triggers the release of pancreatic juice to aid in digestion.
A frog's small intestine is in charge of the majority of its digestion. It helps its body absorb nutrients from food.
intestine
The digestive surface of a frog is increased through the presence of villi in the small intestine. Villi are finger-like projections that line the inner surface of the intestine, increasing the surface area for absorption of nutrients. This allows for more efficient digestion and absorption of nutrients from the food the frog eats.
The two sections of a frog's small intestine are the duodenum and the ileum.
The Large Intestine
Amazingly the small intestine is longer! -Annabeth
The small intestine is about 7 meters long.
The stomach has a slightly thicker wall than the small intestine as the stomach secretes acids that are used to break down food, while the small intestine's job is just to transport the food through the digestive system
It's in the right side of the frog.
