The new flag was brought to South Africa to represent the country's political transformation as well as showing South Africa as a new democracy. South Africa's flag colors do not have any significant meaning to them. The colors are black, green, and yellow. The horizontal "Y" shape represents the convergence of South Africa's diverse society, and how it was desired to be one.
