The book was written in the 1800's. There can only be one ghost of Christmas Present. The spirit is referring to all of the previous Ghosts of Christmas Present who'd gone before him... or by that time, about 1800 previous Ghosts since Jesus' birth. If the current spirit Ghost of Christmas Present were speaking today he would have 2000 brothers.
