Best Answer

No quartering of soldiers, which means military troops can NOT take control of private homes during peacetime.

To be exact, "No soldier shall, in time of peace be quartered in any house, without the consent of the owner, nor in time of war, but in a manner to be prescribed by law."

Back in the day, citizens would have to open their homes and house the soldiers during war time. Today, that is activity is against the law unless government finds the need to enforce it.
