I suggest that you are asking why novels have titles and what they do to help?
That seem to be the question to be.
So, titles stop people from going round a library/bookshop and opening every book, reading a chapter and deciding if they should buy it.
Blurbs save loads of time, but so titles.
Instead of going to every book and reading each blurb, you simply look at the time maybe the cover, then decide if you should go on to read the blurb.
For example;
A girl who enjoys romance would much rather read a blurb that belongs to a book titled 'Seven Kisses' than to pick up and read a blurb that belonged to a book named 'Flames of Fury'
Naomi Campbell's debut novel's title is SWAN

It is an unfinished one entitled "Makamisa."
The original title of the novel Holes was "Wrong Place, Wrong Time." It was changed before publication to the title we know today.

The title comes from what you've written -- write the novel first. The publisher is probably going to change the title anyhow, so don't waste time trying to come up with some perfect title.
The title of the novel 'Of Mice and Men' comes from a poem called 'To a Mouse' by Robert Burns

The first page of a novel is commonly referred to as the "title page." This page typically includes the title of the book, the author's name, and often the publisher's information.
