On a window's Title bar, what does the button with the underscore symbol do?
There is a way to type the underscore symbol. Press the SYM key and the special character selector will open. Use the directional pad to scroll through the symbol set.
It's a horizontal line with a vertical extending from the middle of it upward. Like an underscore-pipe-underscore, _|_.

open querty keyboard and hit the "globe"/sym button on bottom left. this brings up symbol screen. continue to hit the arrow right or left until you find the underscore key.
