Well, it depends on how you mean goof. If you mean mistake, then mistake (obviously), blunder, screw up, miscalculate, or botch might work. If you mean to slack off, then slack, putz, fool around, hang... some of those might work. If you mean a stupid person, then idiot, oaf, fool, or dolt might work. Goofy is synonymous (The same as) "Silly".

A person is described as "Goofy" if they are seen as the "clown" in their group of peers (Friends) or colleagues. Most offices have that one person that wears a "Santa Claus" hat to work in December. That person is goofy. It's not always a bad thing. If the people around the goof appreciate their goofiness, then being goofy can be a good thing. It can be fun for the goof and those around them.
