.What does it mean? It sounds like a person talking out of both sides of his mouth. It sounds disingenuous. Why bring up superstition unless there is a concern that there will be an accusation? Is it a very low level of superstition, or is it a lack of faith? Clear it up. The statement is also lacking in some very basic logic. God will not give up a people to military destruction? You mean it has never happened?
