Well like you probably know the whole poem is talking about how people get caught up or they don't know what they're doing or something. It could mean that we always recognize the ones we love before we even realize it. True love only happens when someone is vulnerable, and love excludes wanting power over someone, or wanting to feel good about yourself. Or thinking much at all, according to the whole poem. So this last line wraps it up. Real affection isn't logical, it's emotional.
