Pearl drum sets are a high quality and recommended by many drummers, but it's mostly up to the drummer to decide which sound he/ she want there drum set to sound like. but with the sound the skins also play a role. But if you want a top-end drum set you should probably go with pearl or ask the employee at the music store (where u are thinking of purchasing the drum set) what he/ she prefers.

It depends on what you want. A snare drum produces higher and lower sounds, if that's all you want, and a drum set comes with a snare drum, and a base drum (lower sounds only), and another drum that has higher sounds only (sorry, i don't know the name). Also a drum set comes with cymbals.
No, but you can also buy the game just by itself.
The cheapest drum set is on Best Buy and is approximately $200.00 for it's quality. A drum set can be found at a toy store for a cheap price also but it isn't good for professional use.
you buy it only on special events like when rockhopper comes
