Ceres is a dwarf planet and it is registered in the minor planet center as asteroid number 1. However, it is a dwarf planet not an asteroid. Asteroids and comets are similar bodies that do not have hydrostatic equilibrium and are relatively small. Recent rulings by the International Astronomical Union (IAU) have reclassified it and justly so (though I personally don't believe dwarf planets and normal terrestrial planets are as different as they contend).

∙ 12y agoPluto. Pluto was discovered on February 18, 1930. From its discovery until 2006 it was considered a planet of our solar system. On August 24, 2006 the International Astronomical Union redefined what it "means to be planet" and reclassified Pluto as a dwarf planet.

Biyo is an asteroid in the asteroid belt a few km across that was named after a teacher. Its too small to be considered a planet or even a dwarf planet. Its not spherical and it does not dominate its orbit.
