From my experience, bluegill eat the most at 7:30am to 11:00am and 7:00pm to 1:00am. most of the hot time of day bluegill submerge into the tall weeds or stumps and rest. Sometimes they will feed in the afternoon, i find it rare though! They also eat at lunch time!
