It depends on the community and the college but a G.E.D. won't get you the job. A high school diploma might if you are a good liar and an excellent fraud. A college degree in teaching will do. A degree in some science or art that requires specialty will also do. A Harvard or Yale degree and the ability to lie spectacularly and be proudly fraudulent will get you a job in an even better college or university. The earnest desire to teach combined with a college degree might work too, but good luck with that.
To be a paralegal you need two years of community college or a vocational education college for a certificate.
The education needed to become a pre-school teacher varies with each school. Most pre-schools require an associate's degree in early childhood development through a community college.
A science teacher must have a minimum of a bachelor's in education. They can have a certification in science. Teachers can also have a bachelor's in the subject of science. College science teachers must have a masters or a doctorate.

It is not a high level math that is required for Early Childhood Education. However, I would suggest that you take nothing lower than College Algebra.Viper1
Yes, a degree in education is needed. This takes 4-5 years plus student teaching, and the required testing to get a credential.
Four Years are needed
There's a terminology issue here. "continuing education" generally refers to credits needed to maintain a certification. While they're technically college courses and give "college credit", they usually can't be put towards another degree.
